Patient & Visitor Information


When you enter Sheridan Memorial Hospital you will be treated with the highest level of professional care. Sheridan Memorial Staff are here to care for you physically, emotionally and spiritually.

When being admitted to the Hospital you are welcome to bring your own belongings such as toiletries and other comforts of home. However, we recommend you leave your valuables at home. If you do have valuables with you at the time of admission please ask for them to be locked away for safekeeping.

The following services are provided to our patients and their families during their stay at Sheridan Memorial Hospital.

Accommodations

Sherwood Inn Hotel is located just blocks away from the Hospital. Rooms can be obtained by calling (406) 765.2810.

Gold Dollar Lodge, Lounge and Casino is also located on Main Street in Plentywood. Rooms can be obtained by calling (406) 765.2370.

Sheridan Memorial Hospital is a tobacco and smoke-free facility. Use of tobacco is not allowed anywhere in or on the medical campus. This includes parking lots, side walks and rental properties where medical care is related. Please extinguish cigarettes appropriately in the Smokers Outposts located around the perimeter of campus grounds.

Sheridan Memorial Activities Department has a monthly schedule of events for Swing Bed patients. Swing Bed patients are welcome to participate in any and all events provided by the Activities department.

Visiting Hours

Visiting hours for all patient's families are 10:00 am to 8:30 pm, unless extenuating circumstances exist.

The Hospital Waiting Area is located right as you enter the Hospital entrance, across from the Nurses Station. This area provides visitors with reading materials, courtesy phone and television.

Contacting a Patient

To contact a Sheridan Memorial patient, have the room number available, dial the Hospital Desk at (406) 765-3738 and ask to be connected to the patient's room. The Hospital Desk can also help you with patient information.

Spiritual Services

At the patient's request Sheridan Memorial Hospital will contact any clergy member needed during their stay. Clergy of all faiths are encouraged to visit members of their congregation if the patient requests it. Pastoral staff are available on a regular basis. They offer support and comfort to families of the ill and Hospice patients. If you want to speak to a member of the Pastoral staff, please ask the Nursing staff to contact them.

Snack Options

A snack and soda machines are located in the Hospital vestibule. Additional soda machines are located by Nursing Home. Water coolers are located throughout the facility.

Dining Options

Sheridan Memorial staff can arrange for visitors to receive hot menu items for $8.00 per guest. The hot menu includes a choice of two main dishes, salad, dessert and choice of beverage.

Floral Shop

Plentywood Montana offers its community a floral shop for you to order not only flowers, but other neat treats. You may contact The Flowerbox at (406) 765.2400 or Blooms & Britches Boutique at (406) 765.1332.

Notary Services

Two Sheridan Memorial staff are Notary's. Notary Public are available Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. At the patient's request a Notary will come to your room to Notarize documents needed. Identification of all parties involved must be provided; notarizing of a document will be refused if a parties identity is not clearly established with identification or if signing party does not seem to understand documents and process. Call (406) 765.3701 and ask for a Notary. This service is free to our patients.
